Antidote is the fourth and final installment in the string of four EPs
that Japanese producer Kosei Fukuda conceived of as his debut techno
narrative. The opening track, Antidote (Devine light) is a true remedy
to a dancefloor which seems uncertain of its direction. Hard, almost
punishing beat structure moves relentlessly forward, making one feel
like running towards ever-receding, unattainable light. On the whole,
this is indeed a darkly paranoid soundscape, taking the entire side A
of the vinyl to unfold. Flipping the record doesnΓÇÖt change the tempo
but the more spacious groove of Lost paradise is like the interlude
between the manic force of the title piece and the deep techno of the
properly titled closer, Final destination (Inside light). The latter
has a cavernous feel to it, suggesting a definitive departure from any
playful feelings of the preceding track. By this point in the EPΓÇÖs
musical story, the paradise seems irredeemably lost, indeed. Tribal
