RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ Madrid based DJ, producer Krain, debuts at Bonzai Progressive with the excellent Abstract, which comes with a wonderful remix from Bob The Groove. A relative newcomer to the world of producing, Krain has been busy on the DJ front. His monthly podcast, Krain Planet, is gaining attention as he showcases the very best in Techno. We believe this will be his first ever release and we are delighted to be bringing his skills to the fore. The Original Mix is a seriously cool slice of Techno, filled with solid beats and an infectious, classic 303 acid line. The rhythm is smooth as shuffling hats and intricate percussion patterns come through. On the low end, a deep rumbling bassline shores things up, allowing that multi-layered acid line to dominate. That beautifully crafted 303 manifests in subtle, classic steps to dirty, phat squelches. The break takes the groove up a notch, climaxing with an outburst of acid, just the tonic to get the temperature rising on the floor. Top-notch stuff. Mysterious French artist Bob The Groove returns to BP on the remix and, once again he delivers a top-notch slice for our listening pleasure. His last track here was Filling The Void which performed very well indeed and is a testament to the quality he always offers. As always, it's great to see him churn out the vibes. Here, BTG gets us moving with an out-of-the-stalls acid line that draws us in. Solid, tight beats drive the groove as the filters are opened on the 303, teasing us with those infamous squelchy shots. The 303 layers up, dishing out two patterns that leave us wanting more and more. The track breaks to reveal hypnotic chords with a classic twist, before the track builds once more into a full-on acid trip we will not forget.
