RELNOTES..:
Lance Blaise aka Tattoo Detectives has become one of the most exciting new
talents in the global dance music scene. His unique blend of electronic,
minimal, techno elements have often come together to create some floor pounding
productions. Lance's vibrant crowd pleasing DJ sets are known to fill floors
worldwide, and his releases have landed on a number of different prestigious
labels. Lance has also created, owns, and operates one of the most successful
record labels in the techno genre, Teggno Records.
Lance has over 40 releases under the names Lance Blaise, Tattooo Detectives, and
Tacopimp. These tracks appear on Intec, Vandit, Teggno, Sound of Acapulco,
Rawthentic, Definition, Tech Head, and soon on System Recordings, Mecha
Recordings, Lo Kik Records, and Mad Hatter Recordings. Starting in 2006, Carl
Cox took notice with a track ôETCö in which Cox later signed to his ôCarl Cox
Space Ibiza CDö. Lance Blaise, under the moniker of Tattoo Detectives followed
up that single with his club anthem ôIl Salto Fuoriö. This track gained massive
support by the likes of Paul Van Dyk & Carl Cox to name a few. Cox told Resident
Advisor that, "This record is storming" and "Its pumping techno in its fury."
Carl even selected it as one of his best tracks for 2006. Later, PVD also
commented on his Vonyc show saying ôThe Ibiza season in 2008 has been inspired
by æIl Salto Fuori,Æ and its all about æthis dj is f@ckin crazyÆ everyoneö which
is the lyrical quote that Lance Blaise sings on ôIl Salto Fuoriö. Another single
Lance produced under Tattoo Detectives, "She Bleeps N' Bloops", got some notable
recognition as it made headlines with URB magazine, and became a top seller on
the internetÆs most prominent download music store, Beatport. This was just part
of his success on Beatport as he had a top selling remix in early 2007 as well
with the remix he did of 'Yeehaw Junction' under his other moniler, Tacopimp.
LanceÆs ôDirty Volume" also gained support, as a regular in Coxy's playlist, and
it as also signed to Adam Sheridan's latest CD compilation on Goodgrief.
In 2008, Lance Blaise creeped his freaky minimal techno sound into Beatport's
Top 100 breaking into the 30 slot and holding steady for 3 weeks with the
release of "Snapback." Again in October of 2008 Lance's remix of Carlo Lio's "Is
That So" also broke into the Top 100 of Beatport.
In 2009 Lance's remix of "Drugstore Cowboys" broke into the Top 20 of Beatport,
making that track a staple in minimal sets all around the world. Most recently
Lance has teamed up with friend Rod B. to collaborate on some driving minimal
tech tracks that are already gaining praise from Djs globally. Lance has already
set a touring schedule in Latin America, and also plans on touring in Europe,
USA, as well as a summer trip to Ibiza. With proven support from big names like
Carl Cox and many other industry leaders, 2009 will be another year where Lance
Blaise will continue to grow and expose his sound to the masses globally.
