Originally part of The Last Great Rush on the supreme Mango Alley, Lank and his Parameters shone brilliantly in modern dance structure. A soft rhythm against bouncing bass line and meandering melodies cast their path in unconventional form, generating yet another classic moment in the Lank's peerless musical history. Now rewired into the Particles psyche, Parameters takes a further outing with a trio of remixes from Huminal, Following Light and Kacper Kostecki. The Huminal duo of Paul Deetman and Jelle Jansen has made tidal waves in the world of underground dance music over the past 12 months. A debut EP signed to Kieran Krohn's FutureForm imprint showed an unsuspecting audience what Huminal were capable of in April 2014, backed by award winning credentials at 2011's ADE from no lesser lights than Marc Romboy and Paul Hamill. Going on to develop the Acrophobia EP for Particles in August 2014, the boys now return with a stunning remix of Parameters. Taking the meandering melodies of Lank's original, Huminal fuse a popping, clicking percussive pattern with huge fuzzy bass line to create a work of tremendous scope and beauty. Following in the footsteps of other Ukrainian artists, Guk Kirill and his Following Light production moniker has become a regular name across some of the finest modern imprints with rapid succession. A double century of production credits occur on his resume since a debut in 2010 as Balkan Connection, Inmost and Stellar Fountain have all played host to the Following Light name. Emerging from a background in fine art to talented electronic producer, Kirill's creative talents through the Calm and Ridge EPs are thus followed by a typically impressive remix, full of character and inventiveness. Themes from Parameters are evident throughout as melodic glimpses and sympathetic rhythms play with bending synth lines and razor leads to rework Lank with classy elegance. Product of Kobana's tutelage, rising star, Kacper Kostecki, is the final artist in a triumvirate of remixes. Mentored by the Polish legend and influenced by industry stalwarts %%u2013 Digweed, Babicz and Sasha, the Kracow resident has explored the depths of his musical soul to develop a distinct and unique sound that has seen his work featured on Dopamine, Clinique and Rezongar. A 2013 Particles debutant, Kostecki's Outset EP provided a rare moment of originality followed by the equally impressive 21st Century Symphony in June 2014. Now, Kacper Kostecki returns to remix duties after a reinterpretation of Anthony Yarranton's Bag of Bells earlier in the year. Working Parameters in typically tangential fashion, Kostecki's takes Lank's original and forges a winding path, full of sustained strings, counterpoint motifs and an angular rhythm section to create a unique vision of the Hungarian's work.
