Part of the star studded Fall Particles 2012 compilation John Kearns made quite an impression with his own brand of Organised Chaos under his Lateral Cut Groove moniker. Not short of academic rigour, the Irishman's degree in music technology has allowed him to generate a unique and impressive sound backed by a wider breadth of music knowledge founded upon an award winning DJ career. A strong relationship with the Liquid Grooves imprint has produced a number of releases including the Electric Feet EP which included the popular No Strings Attached. Now, following up recent Particles remixes of BiG AL and Stephen J. Kroos, the latter now returns the favour alongside Italian Andrea Cassino as the deep bass-centric rhythms and pulsating sounds of Organised Chaos are rightfully revisited. Best known for his work alongside Alex Laben, Andrea Cassino, from the Italian Tuscany region, has achieved considerable success with work signed to Tilth Music and microCastle. Furthermore, over fifty tracks have found their way on to the triumvirate imprints of Proton Music, Particles and Apollo, including the 2010 downtempo album Don't be Afraid. Moving forward to produce solely under his own name, his sound is characterized by a slightly different style with an emphasis on the tech house genre. Seeing a growing body of work grace the catalogues of Balkan Connection and Lowbit and supported by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Cassino's remix of Lateral Cut Groove marks his solo debut for Particles. Taking on Organised Chaos, Andrea has produced a throbbing, pulsing remix full of a deep, dark vibrancy. A strong 4/4 kick provides the backdrop for a rhythmic house beat to nestle comfortably alongside a deep bass groove. Rhythmic stabs then filter and rise in intensity either side of a beautifully melodic breakdown to provide an hypnotic jewel that sits perfectly in Andrea Cassino's crown. Dutchman Stephen J. Kroos has had an illustrious production career thus far. With 200 Beatport production credits to his name, the Amsterdam resident has worked with a plethora of high-profile imprints, not least in his work for the Anjuna labels which included the full-length album Tecktonick on Anjunabeats in 2007 and the E-No and Mirsch EPs in 2011. Over fifty tracks have also found their way to the Spring Tube imprints including the recent Atmosphere and Pathogenicity of Mutations EPs. Following the release of two full remix EPs off the back of the superb Fragile EP for Particles in 2012 and 2013, and a remix of Amygdala by Lateral Cut Groove, Stephen J. Kroos now reciprocates as he marks his indelible stamp upon Organised Chaos. A deep hypnotic groove provides the foundations while soft rhythmic stabs are then partnered with a further a set of crisp counterparts that lilt invitingly in reverb drenched glory. The resulting aural collage is a driving hypnotic groove that is unmistakable in its identity as another Kroos tour de force. Two remixes from Italy and the Netherlands have ensured that Andrea Cassino and Stephen J. Kroos have made perfect sense of Lateral Cut Groove's Organised Chaos.
