RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ A musician of considerable virtuosity, Nicolas Rada, has found himself at the vanguard of the Argentinean underground dance scene. Extending this influence further, Particles is delighted to announce the release of another impressive step in the Argentinean's career path with the release of Yaroun, complemented by a standout remix from one of Italy's finest exports. With a love of percussion and training in piano, Nicolas Rada, has sought to place himself at the experimental epicentre of electronic music. Taking audio cues from constantly evolving sounds of artists such as Radiohead, Rada has further been influenced by icons within the dance industry including Guy J, Nick Warren and fellow countryman, Hernan Cattaneo. A DJ himself, performances across his hometown, Buenos Aries, and a Mexican tour, has further cemented a strong following from the South American club-going masses. From his home in the capital, Rada's penchant for dark and melodic sounds has seen him acquire a cast-iron reputation for quality production values and innovative techniques. A 2007 debut for BIT Records quickly saw rise to a plethora of production material for both Balkan Connection and its South America variant as some eighty production credits include notable original work, not least in 2015's debut full-length album for BCSA in the shape of Air Ports, received to critical acclaim and widespread support. Now debuting on Particles, Yaroun is a work of rhythmic prowess as intricate percussive patterns provide a lilting groove, anchored by strong beat and rich bass line. Emotive melodic lines flow effortlessly in held chords while a muted arpeggio rises above the aural melange with striking beauty in the breakdown and beyond. The resultant effect is to create a track of positive tension. Andrea Cassino is an artist who has played out a long history of high-level production credentials over the course of a fifteen-year career path. One half of the influential Cassino and Laben collaborative pairing, Cassino has seen his work hit dizzying heights. A regular on such blue chip imprints as Lowbit, Soundteller and Balkan Connection, his solo work has continued to further highlight a distinctive production style that followed a slightly deeper, tech-infused sound, supported by such industry icons as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed and Wehbba. The monthly, Flux, show on Proton Radio also continues to provide a vehicle for Cassino to showcase a range of like-minded talented artists. A quartet of remixes dating back to 2011 account for Andrea Cassino's foray onto Particles. Debuting with the outstanding rework of Alessandro Diga's Ochtendgloren in August 2011, further remixes of Lateral Cut Groove, Simos Tagias and Danny Lloyd remind listeners of the Andrea Cassino sound while a fifth now sees a trademark remix of Yaroun. Taking the essence and retaining the key of the original, a pulsating kick drum and grooved bass lay the foundations for haunting pads to ripple outwards across the stereo spectrum. This is then accompanied, from the mid-point, by the arpeggio so central to Rada's work which is developed further by a subtle key change to provide work of genuine skill and poise. From Argentina to southern Lebanon, Yaroun further highlights its place on the underground dance map with Italian influence from Andrea Cassino.
