Tash's Movement Recordings opens the new year by welcoming Not Demure back to the label for his first EP. Born in Argentina and now based in Spain, Not Demure first emerged in 2017 with releases courtesy of Hitclub and TOTUM Music. Gaining momentum and fans quickly, the Mar del Plata native went on to showcase his music via LAIKA Sounds, Magician On Duty and Univack. Also finding a home on Movement Recordings, Not Demure's contribution to the label's 'ProgNoesis' Vol. 1 collection went on to be played by Guy J, and still sits at the top of his Beatport best sellers over a year later. Having released his 'New Resilience' EP via Movement's Limited division in November of last year, Not Demure now steps back up to the main imprint with 'Aifos', alongside a remix from Weird Sounding Dude. As Not Demure continues to find a healthy balance between organic and progressive house, it is the melodic sounds of the title selection which lead the release off. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, chunky groove, its laid-back energy is fluid from the start. As the break approaches, tantalizing arps and warm, textural drifts marry beautifully atop layers of neatly tailored percussion. The main arp continues to rise across the centrepiece, flowing through effervescent modulation and tactfully building towards an emotive final movement.
