█▒║ Release Notes ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Little Mike: ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Little Mike's Musical Style: ║▒█
█▒║ Dirty, filthy and nasty house and tech-house in the big rooms. Deep, ║▒█
█▒║ head nodding house music in the smaller rooms. Tripped out, bizarre ║▒█
█▒║ and futuristic house and tech-house in the wee hours of the morning ║▒█
█▒║ at a strange afterparty where Mike doesn't know where he is, or who ║▒█
█▒║ he is partying with... hehehe.. basically, Little Mike likes to ║▒█
█▒║ cover a wide spectrum of dance music, depending on the room and the ║▒█
█▒║ situation. It's always gonna sound fresh, and his mixing is gonna be ║▒█
█▒║ clean and creative. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Here's what Little Mike is up to: ║▒█
█▒║ The Church: (11th and Lincoln) (1998-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Little Mike has held down a weekly Thursday night residency ║▒█
█▒║ alongside Wyatt Earp at Denver's largest nightclub, The Church. ║▒█
█▒║ Holding down this residency for 5 years, Mike has played sets for ║▒█
█▒║ crowds reaching 1500 . He has worked alongside a plethora of ║▒█
█▒║ superstar DJs, including Sasha, Lee Burridge, Richie Hawtin, Luke ║▒█
█▒║ Slater, Dave angel, Danny Howells, Seb Fontaine, DJ Dan, DJ Sneak, ║▒█
█▒║ Josh Wink, etc, (too many to list). Basically, whatever DJ is on ║▒█
█▒║ tour at the moment stops in Denver, and Little Mike gets to rock out ║▒█
█▒║ with 'em. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Sweat records: (2229 Larimer St.) (June 2003-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Little Mike works as the retail dance music buyer for Denver's ║▒█
█▒║ premier DJ shop, Sweat Records (2229 Larimer St. Denver co. 80205). ║▒█
█▒║ Here, Mike is in charge of getting the hottest records into the ║▒█
█▒║ shop. Working as the music buyer for sweat records gives Mike the ║▒█
█▒║ opportunity to stay on top of what is happening in the music world. ║▒█
█▒║ The shop just recently opened its doors (June 7th, 2003), and is ║▒█
█▒║ doing excellent. To contact Mike regarding anything related to ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Phrunky Recordings: (2003-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Alongside label partner, Ty Tekavec (Ty Tek), Little Mike runs his ║▒█
█▒║ own record label, which is already gaining momentum and receiving ║▒█
█▒║ acclaim from the worlds top DJs and producers. To contact anyone at ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul: (2000-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Near the beginning of 2000, Mike joined the Casa Del Soul Crew. This ║▒█
█▒║ collective consists of five other DJs/producers: Sense', Catt, Wyatt ║▒█
█▒║ Earp, Ty Tek and Foxx. The Casa Del Soul collective work together as ║▒█
█▒║ DJs and hold down numerous residencies both in Denver and abroad. ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul is also a record label, with 14 releases to date that ║▒█
█▒║ have received critical acclaim and praise from both the press, and ║▒█
█▒║ international DJs. With the label, Mike has had three releases thus ║▒█
█▒║ far. These releases have received excellent reviews in dance ║▒█
█▒║ magazines like Muzik and Mixer, and have been licensed to mix CDs ║▒█
█▒║ from Lee Burridge (Global Underground Nu-breed), Doc Martin (Fabric ║▒█
█▒║ mix), and Silicon Soul, amongst others. His "Breakfast Of Champions" ║▒█
█▒║ release was also featured on John Digweed's Kiss FM mix in a ║▒█
█▒║ previous show. To contact anyone at Casa Del Soul records, please ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Red Monkey Lounge: (19th and Market St.) (2000-present) ║▒█
█▒║ This venue is considered Denver's little secret gem by many house ║▒█
█▒║ music lovers. The Red Monkey Lounge is a nice relaxed room where ║▒█
█▒║ Mike keeps the music deep and bumpin'. He holds down this weekly ║▒█
█▒║ residency each and every Saturday night to a room full of people who ║▒█
█▒║ want to relax, and bounce around to some straight up house music. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Previous work: ║▒█
█▒║ Phrunky @ Snake Pit: (13th and Washington) (April 1999 - June 2002) ║▒█
█▒║ Phrunky was Denver's first true tech-house weekly. Held in one of ║▒█
█▒║ Denver's true underground clubs, the Snake Pit, Phrunky attracted ║▒█
█▒║ crowds who were looking for fresh sounds and strong drinks. Promoted ║▒█
█▒║ and organized by Little Mike, Phrunky was focused on the up front ║▒█
█▒║ sounds of house and tech-house, with a focus on having a blast, and ║▒█
█▒║ not trying to be the "coolest" club in town. The club night ║▒█
█▒║ showcased each and every record release for Casa Del Soul records, ║▒█
█▒║ and brought fresh DJs that had never been to Denver before, ║▒█
█▒║ including Mazi, Jay Tripwire, Randall Jones, Deep C, Kenneth Graham, ║▒█
█▒║ Pete Bones, etc. Phrunky inspired Mike's record label, as well as ║▒█
█▒║ gave him his first taste in promoting parties that focused on ║▒█
█▒║ primarily the newest music, most influential DJs, and nothing else. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Club Vinyl: (June 2002 -Semi-present) ║▒█
█▒║ After the closure of Phrunky @ the Snake Pit, Mike moved the party ║▒█
█▒║ to the basement of Club Vinyl (1082 Broadway), and created a party ║▒█
█▒║ unlike anything Denver had seen before. His main focus was the ║▒█
█▒║ music, and nothing else. Each week, Mike would keep the lights ║▒█
█▒║ turned off, set up tripped out visual screens, and played nothing ║▒█
█▒║ but raw dance music with DJ partner Ryan Jaqua. On a monthly basis, ║▒█
█▒║ Mike also promoted a series of parties entitled "The Basement ║▒█
█▒║ Sessions". These parties included DJs such as Dave Mothersole, Mazi, ║▒█
█▒║ Ralph Lawson, as well as local DJs who were playing the truly ║▒█
█▒║ underground dance music. The weekly was a huge success, and the buzz ║▒█
█▒║ of each basement sessions spread across the state, attracting ║▒█
█▒║ Denver's serious dance music lovers. Due to the blizzard of 2003 ║▒█
█▒║ causing the collapse of the club, Mike's residency is on hiatus ║▒█
█▒║ until its scheduled re-opening near October of this year, but plans ║▒█
█▒║ to keep the party going are definite. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul Records (the shop) (1998-2003) ║▒█
█▒║ Before the blizzard of 2003 caused the destruction of Casa Del Soul ║▒█
█▒║ Records, Mike assisted in sales and music buying directly in the ║▒█
█▒║ store. He also gained excellent work experience with Casa Del Soul ║▒█
█▒║ Records, in both retail, and having an understanding for the music ║▒█
█▒║ industry in general. R.I.P., as Casa Del Soul Records was the ║▒█
█▒║ foundation for all that Mike has achieved today. ║▒█

█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Ty Tek: ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Ty Tek's musical style: ║▒█
█▒║ Funky tech-house/ tribal/ progressive. Style is geared towards the ║▒█
█▒║ room being played, but energy is in full effect! ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ History and current info: ║▒█
█▒║ The beginning: ║▒█
█▒║ Ty's been playing records for eight years and producing for six. ║▒█
█▒║ Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Ty was one of the leading ║▒█
█▒║ forces to expose pueblo to the world of dance music. Ty's uncle was ║▒█
█▒║ a sound technician and music maker for an industrial band named ║▒█
█▒║ Attack/Decay and was Ty's biggest influence in studio engineering. ║▒█
█▒║ Brought up on a healthy diet of bands such as TKK, Skinny Puppy, ║▒█
█▒║ Coil, and Nitzer Ebb, Ty knew that music was the career of his ║▒█
█▒║ future. Self taught and eager to play, Ty found his first residency ║▒█
█▒║ at Evolution night club (Pueblo, CO, 1994-1996), with a four night ║▒█
█▒║ per week schedule. Being on the decks for this amount of time, Ty ║▒█
█▒║ gained the knowledge of DJ/crowd interaction and took it to a new ║▒█
█▒║ level.s ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Tracks 2000 night club (Denver, CO, 1997-2001) ║▒█
█▒║ Ty moved to Denver, CO in 1997 for a film/video production degree. ║▒█
█▒║ In this time, Ty met Koa Franconi (Superstar Productions/ DJ Keoki's ║▒█
█▒║ brother) and started one of the longest Thursday club/dance nights ║▒█
█▒║ in Denver's history. With crowds reaching 1500 a night, Ty was able ║▒█
█▒║ to spread his musical message to the masses. Tracks 2000 closed its ║▒█
█▒║ doors for remodeling in 2001 and has its grand re-opening in October ║▒█
█▒║ 2003, where it will once again pick up where it left off. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Vinyl night club (Denver, CO, 2001-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Ty met Jason and Brad of Together Productions and started a new ║▒█
█▒║ night to fill the place of tracks 2000's hiatus. Vinyl night club is ║▒█
█▒║ one of Denver?s premier hot spots, with national and international ║▒█
█▒║ talent showcased on a weekly basis. Ty began his Saturday night ║▒█
█▒║ residency here and has been able to play alongside some of the ║▒█
█▒║ world's best DJs. ( Richie Hawtin, Derrick May, Carl Cox, Fat Boy ║▒█
█▒║ Slim, Pete Tong, Derrick Carter, Saeed & Palash, Deep Dish, DJ Dan, ║▒█
█▒║ Moby, Donald Glaude, and many more of the same caliber). Vinyl has ║▒█
█▒║ been Ty's best experience to date with more fun times to come! ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Phrunky Recordings (2003-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Alongside label partner Little Mike, Ty runs his own record label, ║▒█
█▒║ which is already gaining momentum and receiving acclaim from the ║▒█
█▒║ worlds top DJs and producers. To contact anyone at Phrunky ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul: (1999-present) ║▒█
█▒║ In 1999 Ty joined Casa Del Soul. This group of DJs: Sense', Catt, ║▒█
█▒║ Foxx, Little Mike, and Wyatt Earp, are friends; co-workers within ║▒█
█▒║ the Casa Del Soul record label and the leading choice of talent in ║▒█
█▒║ Colorado. Their main focus is to push innovative music to their ║▒█
█▒║ listeners. Casa Del Soul Records has received critical acclaim by ║▒█
█▒║ DJs/producers from all over the world with releases from Ty Tek & ║▒█
█▒║ Little Mike "Casafied Modern Music 2" featured on Lee Burridge's ║▒█
█▒║ Nu-breed mix compilation. Other Casa releases have found homes on ║▒█
█▒║ compilations from Lexicon Avenue, Doc Martin (Fabric 10) and was on ║▒█
█▒║ Muzik magazine's list of top tech-house recommended labels of 2002. ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul?s store front was badly damaged by a freak snowstorm ║▒█
█▒║ in March, 2003, forcing their doors to shut. The future of Casa is ║▒█
█▒║ still strong and the label will go on with an even bigger force! ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Dirty Blue Records (Liverpool, UK- 2002-present) ║▒█
█▒║ Ty met label boss Alex Buchanan (www.minimalrecords.com) in 2002. ║▒█
█▒║ Alex was just beginning a new sister label to his already well ║▒█
█▒║ received Minimal Records and decided Ty's production work was a ║▒█
█▒║ perfect match. Ty's first two releases on Dirty Blue have gotten ║▒█
█▒║ great reviews from top-notch magazines such Mixer, Muzik, IDJ, Urb ║▒█
█▒║ and more on the way. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ Sweat Records (2229 larimer st, denver,co 80205; 2003-present) ║▒█
█▒║ After the collapse of Casa Del Soul Records' store front, a new home ║▒█
█▒║ for the supply of Denver's dance music was in need. Zac Larsen ║▒█
█▒║ (store owner) was just the person to fill that place. In June of ║▒█
█▒║ 2003, Sweat Records opened it?s doors with Ty Tek and Little Mike in ║▒█
█▒║ charge of sales/marketing/ordering. Sweat Records is off to a great ║▒█
█▒║ start and will continue to have the same energy and quality that ║▒█
█▒║ Casa Del Soul provided. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
█▒║ End statement: ║▒█
█▒║ Ty's main focus is and will remain to be, creating quality dance ║▒█
█▒║ music and keep the life and energy that he's had since the very ║▒█
█▒║ beginning! ║▒█

█▒║ FFS died for good and chromi left us :/ He brought his best to the ║▒█
█▒║ scene with an excellent state of mine so big shout to him and good ║▒█
█▒║ luck in your life bro. SCRATCH crew is approximately the same as it ║▒█
█▒║ was under "FFS" name so get ready for cool releases as usual :) ║▒█
█▒║ People leaves, people comes... and the scene is still active so we ║▒█
█▒║ hope you'll enjoy our work. SCRATCH does not recruit rippers. ║▒█
█▒║ However, if you're an experienced ripper and you feel you can ║▒█
█▒║ contribute to SCRATCH development, you can email us at the address ║▒█
█▒║ below. ║▒█
█▒║ SCRATCH is only interested in serious site affiliations (100+ .EU). ║▒█
█▒║ -FR stuff available on site is a plus. ║▒█
█▒║ ║▒█
