I stayed at his house last year and ░ ░ was blown away by his keyboard skills so we ░ ░ decided to form a band. USUK was born! IÆm ░ ░ not entirely sure what the style is. WeÆve ░ ░ just tried to find a way to work together ░ ░ where weÆre bouncing ideas off each other ░ ░ and itÆs pretty hard to categorise the ░ ░ result I think. Someone said æStephan Bodzin ░ ░ with ballsÆ, and yes I can see that in some ░ ░ of the Moog progressions that are on here, ░ ░ but for me itÆs a combination of a lot of ░ ░ styles we like, old electro, techno, acid, ░ ░ dark, melodic, even 80Æs horror films! IÆm ░ ░ usually the drum/production guy and Chad is ░ ░ the whizz on the keyboard. WeÆve tried to ░ ░ break the rules of whatÆs out there at the ░ ░ moment. The first analog live set we ░ ░ ever did was again at Furthur, last year, ░ ░ but that was on one of the DIY stages. The ░ ░ feedback was so amazing that Kurt (the ░ ░ organiser) let us on the main stage this ░ ░ year. Massive respect to him for that. WeÆve ░ ░ tried to make it even more æliveÆ this time, ░ ░ Chad got hold of the amazingly fat Moog Sub ░ ░ 37 and weÆve just played Seattle, San Diego, ░ ░ Even Furthur and now we have Chicago, St ░ ░ Louis and Cedar Rapids left before I return ░ ░ home. Not bad for something thatÆs only been ░ ░ known a little over 12 months eh! ░ ░ ░ ░ So we had to redo the set slightly as we ░ ░ were hoping it was gonna get recorded by the ░ ░ sound guys, but it turned out the storage ░ ░ was full. Damn!!! Luckily, IÆd recorded one ░ ░ of the outputs into my own computer, but it ░ ░ missed off quite a few of the synths we were ░ ░ using. But itÆs a good representation of ░ ░ what we did though for sure and of course we ░ ░ put alot of live 303 in here cause it's Drop ░ ░ Bass Network's Furthur and they do love ░ ░ their acid in front of those speakers haha! ░ ░ WeÆve knocked together a video that's on our ░ ░ FB page, using the crowd I recorded (the ░ ░ blue tape worked!!!!).
