First up is the classically trained and scholared, longtime musician, producer, and DJ Omri Smadar, delivering a trippy, emotional, and powerful, middle eastern synth-driven remix to Uper Acid Band's 'Saba Behoor' feat. the exquisite vocals of Abo Sahar. Saba Behoor means Seven Seas, and Smadar's take is definitely sailing for a late-night hypnotic dance floor treat. The remix manifests that Omri is a storyteller in the deepest sense of the word! In his own words: 'When I started to work on the remix I decided I want to keep the dark and mysterious vibe of the vocals, but to compose it for a dance floor environment. I worked only the vocals and started to jam in the studio with my machines, and created the middle-eastern-percussive groove of the track. A few hours earlier, I went to the mail office to pick up my Micromoog Synth (a very funky phat mid-70's analog synth) that just been shipped from the USA, so I rushed back to the studio and was all about jamming with it like a kid with his new toy. That's where the gritty synth solo comes from. I felt like this is exactly the trippy Arabic-vibe I had in mind.'
