It's not as good a record as ║ │ │║ 'Abominog' was, as it's not very consistent, and ║ │ │║ has even less prog material than even its ║ │ │║ predecessor, yet is still an enjoyable album. ║ │ │║ 'The Other Side Of Midnight' is a great riff ║ │ │║ rock track, with Mick Box on fire throughout the ║ │ │║ song, yet Lee Kerslake's powerhouse drums and ║ │ │║ Pete Goalby's 'ready for FM radio' vocals make ║ │ │║ this a rollocking song, and still a fan ║ │ │║ favourite- not to mention a big hit in the US. ║ │ │║ 'Stay On Top' is, however, a slightly dumb, ║ │ │║ typically 80s rocker, with stupid lyrics and bad ║ │ │║ sound effects, which make this one of the Heep ║ │ │║ tracks on the album. Heep purists were horrified ║ │ │║ when their beloved band covered a Bryan Adams ║ │ │║ song in 'Lonely Nights', yet I like this song a ║ │ │║ lot, due to Mick Box's great emotive guitar ║ │ │║ licks, and Pete Goalby's soulful singing. This ║ │ │║ is much better than the original could have ║ │ │║ been, and deserved to be a big hit. 'Sweet Talk' ║ │ │║ is another dumb track, yet would have been more ║ │ │║ tolerable if not for the extremely irritating ║ │ │║ keyboard sounds of John Sinclair, plus the ║ │ │║ ending is quite weak too. 'Love Is Blind' is an ║ │ │║ enjoyable AOR record though, with good work from ║ │ │║ the whole band, especially Mick Box's guitar ║ │ │║ work and Pete Goalby's vocals. 'Roll Overture' ║ │ │║ sees a slight prog influence creep in, and it's ║ │ │║ a Wakeman-esque keyboard showcase for John ║ │ │║ Sinclair, though it's sadly a bit short. 'Red ║ │ │║ Lights' is one of the best tracks here, with ║ │ │║ some insane guitar riffing and unrestrained ║ │ │║ Goalby vocals, but Kerslake's pounding drums are ║ │ │║ also terrific. 'Rollin The Rock'/ 'Straight ║ │ │║ Through The Heart' is a two part track, which ║ │ │║ has great backing vocals and playing, and has ║ │ │║ the drama that the old Uriah Heep albums used to ║ │ │║ have, albeit given an 80s sheen. 'Weekend ║ │ │║ Warriors' is fun, yet is more bluster than any ║ │ │║ real substance, though the ever dependable Mick ║ │ │║ Box plays some scorching, wah wah enhanced ║ │ │║ solos. All in all, this isn't really an album ║ │ │║ for prog fans, and as such would score around ║ │ │║ 2.5 really, yet Heep and AOR fans will enjoy the ║ │ │║ album- I do!! ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ║ │ │╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │╔═════════════════════╗ │ │║ Release Tracklist ║ │ │╚═════════════════════╩══════════════════════════════════════════ │ │ │ │ 01 - The Other Side Of Midnight [03:57] │ │ 02 - Stay On Top [03:37] │ │ 03 - Lonely Nights [04:09] │ │ 04 - Sweet Talk [03:53] │ │ 05 - Love Is Blind [03:41] │ │ 06 - Roll - Overture [02:20] │ │ 07 - Red Lights [02:59] │ │ 08 - Rollin' The Rock [05:29] │ │ 09 - Straight Through The Heart [03:48] │ │ 10 - Weekend Warriors [03:53] │ │ │ │ Total Length : [37:46 minn │ │ │ │ │ │ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ ╔═════════════════════╗ │ │ ║ Greetings To: ║ │ │ ╚═════════════════════╝ │ │ │ │ Too all people who contributes to make this │ │ archive of good music in a exceptional conditions │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │■ ■│ └───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
