Sure, ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ their music finds a firm constant in the interplay ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ of Jagger and Richards circa 1966--but from the ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ get-go, V-Twin gleefully mash elements of ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ space-jazz, dosed-up psychedelia, Kraut drone and ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ silicone-plated electrofunk into the traditional ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ rock design. "Call a Meeting" sounds like the Sun ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ Ra Arkestra playing the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ Women", super-phased guitar howl and screeching ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ horns roaring over the song's boogie-rock ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ construction like a freezing interstellar wind. ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ "V-Twin City Rockers" builds a surreal mythology ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ from the ground up, frontman Jason MacPhall yelping ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ "There's a lot of satisfaction / in a negative ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ reaction / in a town full of bedwetting squares", a ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ self-made new-wave punk hero in his own superhero ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ fantasy. Meanwhile, the excellent "Swissair" is ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ what Primal Scream's disappointing Evil Heat wanted ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ to sound like, but couldn't quite stretch to: a ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ flash motorik hit-and-run that touches on the ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ sustained euphoria of Bowie's "Heroes" before ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ speeding off in a cloud of sweet-smelling exhaust ▓▌ ▓████▓▌ smoke.
