Summer warmth dwindles and autumn leaves turn golden brown, floating in seesaw patterns forming soft carpet of myriad colour and size. The seasons change, heralded by the Particles quarterly collection. Ten tracks coalesce to form Fall Particles 2015 as artists from across Europe's borders burn brightly in common purpose and deed. Opening with the beautiful Devotion, UK based Midge, provides lilting melodic flow interspersed with strong beat and house groove that is sure to find favour with many. With the first of two tracks, BC2 regular, Arthur Minnahmetov, steps forward with a strong rhythm and bass dominated offering, High Line. Typically smooth, reverb-drenched motifs are a regular feature in a stripped back work of poise. Flush with success on Mango Alley earlier in 2015 with Alex O'Rion, Rolando Vallice and Barking Spiders continue the bass fuelled underground progressive house sound. A pulsating bass line merges with percussive style to create a dark track further enriched by wonderful textured, effects laden chord structures that fizzle throughout. Another artist fresh from the success of Boarded on Mango Alley, Swiss artist Stoertebeker sees French producer Clawz SG remix the same track with a galloping bass line and intricate percussive layers for a unique retake including some imaginative reworking of original melodies while retaining the overall feel. Arthur Minnahemtov then returns with his second offering NY Zombie a stomping affair with more than an air of film score dynamism discovered though textured layers of tense arpeggio lines and rolling urgency. Building to an intense crescendo, Minnahemtov's work is impressive indeed. Russian artist, Pavel Denisov, continues a rich vein of form found more recently on Silk Music and Incepto, with a track title steeped in connotation. Insomnia is a carefully constructed offering that revels in emotive melodic flow and haunting lead lines to create a work with an air of delicious melancholy. Belgian pair Max Cue and William Forest begin the final chapter with the aptly named, Obscured by Fog LFO pulsing, its presence is felt in typical techno fashion through echoes of Gui Boratto while an intricate and complex rhythm section adds further depth. Prolific Inmost Records head, Following Light, collaborates with Russian Ilya Gerus on Vertical Skyline with impressive consequence as cloud like motifs drift across a dancing percussive section, bristling with electric energy. Artem Kalalb's success on Particles has already been well documented as the Russian producer continues to carve out a name for himself. Iordan demonstrates a producer on the rise with chunky bass groove locked to low-slung beat and evolving melodic sequence that filters into full force. Spring Tube resident, Anthony Mea, closes proceedings with a strong tech house offering that is full of hiss penchant for clever rhythmic interplay combined with house elements, breathy vocal pads and hypnotic dance floor flow. The result is a work that hits its genre brief squarely on point. A perfect ten from some of the underground music industry's established and emerging talents, discovered in Fall Particles 2015.
