Eli Soul Clap collates a second volume of this compilation series,
which began in 2019 and which isn't, as you might expect, a collection
of cuts dating back to Italy's original pre-house dance music boom of
the 70s and 80s, but rather of 10 contemporary tracks inspired by that
era. Got that? Good... now forget it, because when these tracks were
made isn't what's important. What's important is whether they'll rock
contemporary disco floors, and on that count you need have no qualms.
Lele Sacchi's 'Slow Down Rock' with its infuriatingly familiar vocal
snip leads the charge for this writer, closely followed by the bassy
stomp of Capofortuna's 'Dopa La Tempesta'.
