It's really good, and it has possibly the best reversible album cover art ever created and released ever in the whole wide world EVAR! Just look at that alternate cover - U can't fuck with that. As far as rap compilations go, The Best Kept Secret is so funky it stank. This is pretty much as good as they come. It's from back when compilations used to be albums in and of themselves, not just some singles thrown together. It's got some exclusive tracks that were written and recorded specifically for it, by some west coast and bay area all-stars. It's 23 years later, these tracks still slap like a muthafucka, and these artists are still successful in the rap game today.
