VA - Peapod Benefit Concert 75:41 Runtime 75:41 min Size 83,8 MB Release Notes: The Black Eyed Peas hosted a benefit concert for the Peapod Foundation on Monday, February 6th at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre, joined by many special guests including: Sergio Mendes, John Legend, Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Justin Timberlake and Sleepy Brown. This is an annual event bringing together many different artists to raise funds and awareness for the Peapod Foundation's children's charities. Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas served as emcee for the evening, and also performed songs from Sergio Mendes' soon to be released album, TIMELESS, which Will.I.Am also produced. The Black Eyed Peas, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake, Jill Scott, John Legend, Q-Tip, India.Arie and many others are featured on TIMELESS, which will be available on February 14th at Starbucks Company-operated locations. The new record label, Will.I.Am Music Group, was launched in 2005 as a joint venture between A&M/Interscope Records. Also set as Will.I.Am Music Group releases are Macy Gray's upcoming album and fellow-Pea Fergie's solo debut. Monday night's audience was just as diverse as the musical lineup--from the gaggle of girls fawning over Justin Timberlake, to Heisman Trophy winner, Reggie Bush, who watched from the side of the stage. The evening proved to be an eclectic mix of both music and people, which contributed to the fun, yet relaxed atmosphere of the theatre. The Peapod Foundation benefit concert captured the essence of the upcoming TIMELESS album, with its mixture of urban and Brazillian beats. There were even Vegas-style showgirls at one point, dancing in a way that can only be described as God-given talent. The Black Eyed Peas also performed crowd favorites, "Pump It" and "Let's Get It Started," ending the concert with "Where Is The Love," an appropriate encore for an event raising money for suffering children.
