All the tracks represent major milestones in the ▓▌ ▐▓ development of bhangra, be it the emergence of a top artist ▓▌ ▐▓ (such as in the case of Bally Sagoo and his hit, "Mera Laung ▓▌ ▐▓ Gawacha," with the vocalist Rama) or a recording that points ▓▌ ▐▓ to a larger movement (1985's "Gidda Pao Haan Deo" with ▓▌ ▐▓ singer Mohinder Kaur Bhamra, the first woman to release a ▓▌ ▐▓ bhangra album). ▓▌ ▐▓ ▓▌ ▐▓ As studiously thought out as this disc is, it isn't a ▓▌ ▐▓ bloodless, humorless, guided tour through a corner of world ▓▌ ▐▓ music -- far from it.
