While this CD might be seen ░█ █░ as another way to cash in on the homage train, that was ░█ █░ never the intent. When I come up with a concept album, it's ░█ █░ always based on music I like and not what I think will sell. ░█ █░ I could site tribute albums on other labels that probably ░█ █░ exist purely for monetary reasons, but that has never been ░█ █░ the cause with Re-Constriction's more 'novel' releases. ░█ █░ From the moment I heard the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, it was ░█ █░ in continual roatation in my car. This is part of what ░█ █░ inspired me to replicate the album with an abrasive techno ░█ █░ bent. I also liked the way 'punk' had a visceral similarity ░█ █░ to pulp.' Although I organized the bands and the art, one ░█ █░ of the most appealing aspects of this release are teh fresh ░█ █░ dialogues, conceived primarily by Society Burning's Dave ░█ █░ Creadeau (he also coordinated the actors). If you haven't ░█ █░ heard the Pulp Fiction soundtrack, I suggest you check that ░█ █░ out first, so you can appreciate all the hard work and ░█ █░ hardware that went into our compilation. And no, there is ░█ █░ no actual film called 'cyberPUNK FICTION' " -chase, case blip ░█ █░ ░█ █░ " 'All Right. Everybody be cool. I'm your new systems ░█ █░ administrator! It has got to be the first time since the ░█ █░ Shut Up Kitty and Operation Beatbox compilations that I have ░█ █░ actually found the 'dark and spooky' kids to have a good ░█ █░ sense of humor! I spend every moment of this album on the ░█ █░ floor clutching my sides in hysterics. Don't let this stop ░█ █░ you from purchasing it either. The music is great as well. ░█ █░ All covers in the exact order as they appear on the original ░█ █░ Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Killing Floor's cover of 'Jungle ░█ █░ Boogie' is amazing, and Collide's cover of 'Son of a ░█ █░ Preacher Man' just puts the original to shame. Yes, buy this ░█ █░ album. Some of ░█ █░ the voice acting is really cheezy, enough to detract from ░█ █░ the humor. Some tracks are great and dark/industrial ░█ █░ tracks, and some really are pretty funny, so they make the ░█ █░ whole project worth while. I have no idea if Cargo Music ░█ █░ still has any in some dusty box, but it looks like some ░█ █░ online distributers STILL have it around! I doubt you'd be ░█ █░ able to find it in your local record store, unless your ░█ █░ local stores really kick ass.
