EAC is amazing at trying to rip hardly- ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ readable CDDAs; it can read a given sector at different speeds up to ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ 82 times!. This behaviour gives EAC the best ability in recovering ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ data from scratched CDs. If you have CD-ROM (data) in bad condition ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ and you want to recover as much as possible out of it, then use ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ CD-R Diagnostics, which can even copy to HD files with bad CRC ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ by using a propietary CD driver (Windows simply *DOES NOT* copy them). ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ If EAC does not suceed (which is rare, btw), you can eliminate or ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ reduce the scratches of the play-side (scratches in the label side ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ often mean the CD is a coaster forever) by getting a CD repair kit ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ (like the famous "Doctor" Series from www.digitalinnovations.com; ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ a must for an avid MP3 ripper) or through a home trick like this one: ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ After cleaning your CD and drying it, put a very little quantity of ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ metal polishing fluid (yes, the one your mother is using for the ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ metallic parts of your house doors...) on a soft cloth and rubber ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ softly on the CD scratch about 15-20 times or so. Try to rip the CD ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ again. If it doesn't rip correctly and you can clearly see the scratch ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ try to repeat the procedure 1 or 2 times more untill the scratch ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ dissappears and the CD is copied correctly. Take into account that ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ if you overuse this technique you *COULD* "eat" the PVC. EAC es sorprendente en sus intentos de ripear ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ CDDAs dificiles de leer; ípuede llegar a leer un sector determinado a ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ distintas velocidades hasta 82 veces!. Este comportamiento proporciona ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ a EAC la mejor habilidad existente para recuperar datos de CDs rayados.▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ Si tienes un CD-ROM (datos) en mal estado y quieres recuperar todos ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ los posibles, entonces utiliza CD-R Diagnostics, que puede incluso ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ copiar a disco duro archivos con bad CRC mediante un driver del propio ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ programa (Windows simplemente *NO* los copia). ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ Si EAC no tiene exito (lo cual es raro, por cierto), puedes eliminar ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ o reducir las rayadas de la cara de play (las rayadas de la cara de ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ la etiqueta a menudo significan que el CD se ha convertido en un ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ frisbie para siempre) con un kit de reparacion de CD (como la famosa ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ serie "Doctor" de www.digitalinnovations.com; obligada para cualquier ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ripper especializado en MP3) o mediante un truco casero com este: ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ Tras limpiar tu CD y secarlo, pon una pequenya cantidad de liquido ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ pulemetales (si, el que utiliza tu mama para las partes metalicas ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ de las puertas de tu casa...) en un panyo suave y frota con cuidado ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ sobre la rayada del CD unas 15-20 veces o asi. Intenta ripear el CD ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ de nuevo. Si no se ripea bien y puedes ver aun claramente la rayada ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ repite el proceso 1 o 2 veces mas hasta que la rayada desaparezca y el ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ CD se copie correctamente. Ten en cuenta que si abusas de esta tecnica ▐▒▌ ▐▒▌ podrias "comerte" el PVC.
