This WAVESTAR performance captured at UKE Sheffield University on Saturday,
August 24th 1985 was their first exposure to a æliveÆ audience, so many did
not know what to expect, but by the end of the show the whole place was won
over by the exciting new music they had just heard that seemed to bundle
strong melody and ôBerlin Schoolö sequencing into one mighty glitter ball
of scintillating synth music!
The set featured tracks from the duoÆs first two cassette releases: æMind
JourneyÆ (1984) and æZenithÆ (1985) and includes a rousing rendition of the
track that was to become the bands iconic anthemic encore piece: æTime
NodeÆ.
