|On-the-money new salsa project led by Diego Gale, and produced at the |
|Galesound studios in Medellin Colombia. On this project Mr. Gale |
|acknowledges his debt to the Cuban son sound, and mixes it with the |
|irresistible Colombian electricity that his supergroup provides so |
|naturally. |
|Great vocals are provided by Mauricio Mosquera, who has a rich, seasoned |
|timbre that reminds me a bit of Oscar D'Leon. The coro section consisting |
|of Charlie Torres, Javier Gonzalez, Carlos LLamosa, Fernando Valencia, |
|Morist Jimenez and Mr. Mosquera, may arguably be the best in South America.|
|In keeping with the tone of son inspired salsa, this project is less |
|frenetic than some of Mr. Gales recent offerings. It's a smoker |
|nonetheless, and is an excellent DJ pick. For the dancers, a must-have. |
