Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Paul was Djing and producing his own records by the age of sixteen. He soon arrived in London and began producing and remixing under the name WAND. Having established his credentials, he formed the outrageous SLEAZE SISTERS, enjoying his first chart success, with tracks such as 'Whip It Up' and 'Work It Up Wear It Out' causing chaos on the UK's dancefloors. Around the same time as the SLEAZE SISTERS were making a name for themselves, a fortuitous meeting with DJ Rachel Auburn led to the formation of Euro dance outfit CANDY GIRLS. This partnership enjoyed Top 10 success in dance and national charts throughout Europe, with tracks such as, 'Fe Fi Fo Fum', 'Wam Bam' and 'I Want Candy' ( #1 in all the club charts). 'Synths And Strings' crashed into the national chart Top 10 and became a dancefloor anthem. Judge Jules and Paul, North London neighbours, became firm friends and formed one of the hottest production teams around. Jules co-wrote 'Sunshine' with Paul which became the next Top 20 hit for YOMANDA. The Masterson / Jules collaboration became unstoppable with the formation of HI-GATE and their debut single 'Pitchin (In Every Direction)' which stormed to #6 in the National chart.
