Ride The Wind again finds the Youngbloods straddling the fence between folk-rock and light jazz; thankfully, they leave the blues to the masters. The six tracks on Ride The Wind, recorded live in 1969, wisely play to the band's strengths, namely Jesse Colin Young's facile voice and strong material, including the hit from their first album, "Get Together." A decent take on the title song only reminds the listener of how long the band had gone without releasing a studio album.
