ERRA have just unveiled a new single, Gore Of Being. The track arrives ahead of the bandÆs North American tour dates with Architects in August, and also precedes another new single Echo Sonata (which is due out ælater this monthÆ according to a press release). Focusing on whatÆs just dropped, though, ERRA explain that, ôGore Of Being started as an idea that Clint [Tustin, guitar] brought into the studio and marks his first songwriting contribution to the band. ôLyrically, Gore Of Being turned out to be a musing on mortality. Despite not writing the lyrics, Clint later had a conversation with Jesse [Cash, vocals/guitar] connecting the serendipity between the lyrics and the working title Clint had for the instrumental, which related to his dadÆs sudden and tragic passing. The songÆs context took a new shape from there, becoming a catharsis and being that much more special to the band.ö ............................................................................
